I've been spending quite a bit of time, on Pinterest lately. Mostly because I need some ideas, for Danny's birthday party. Between, if you have any ideas, please leave me a little message. :) Anyway, I've been hunting on Pinterest. But like with most things on Pinterest, I got a little distracted last night. And found this beauty!
Seriously amazing! Now if only we had a deck like that. We could make this amazing transformation! Could you just imagine? I'd NEVER get my sons to come inside again!! Heck I'd never want to go inside either! This is just so fun! A slide, sandbox, chalkboard, fun playhouse....and a great entertaining deck for Mom and Dad! :) Such a great inspiration!!

How About a Summer Beach?
Sometimes, I really miss Georgia! So much, that I wish we'd move out there. It was the best, of so many worlds for me. :) But one of my favorite parts of growing up in Georgia, were the quick trips to the beach. We'd pack up a few things, hop in the car, and head out.
I spent so many days, playing in the sand, swimming in the ocean, and enjoying the sun! I wish that my kids got to do that. But we live in the desert. I'm not knocking the desert. But it's so different!
When I saw this picture, I about jumped out of my pants! Are you serious? A little beach for our backyard? Wow! And ya, I found this picture on Pinterest. I told you, we're having a bit of a love affair!
I'm positive, my sons would adore this idea! To have their own beach, in our big 'ol backyard! They do love digging in the sand. And playing in the water. :) I think we could make a bigger "beach." We do have 3 kids. And I feel like they'd need some more space.
I'm gonna put this on our "to-do" list. :) Maybe Mike will get to come home soon! And we can tackle this project. Heck, we've got the wood, 2 kiddie swimming pools, and 4 of those little chairs. We've also got plenty of sand toys, and beach balls. I'm positive all we'd need to buy is the sand, something to cover it up (when we're not playing in there), some poles, and the fabric covering.
But honestly, isn't this a great idea? Something fun. And definitely unusual for the desert. I could see this little project, lasting for years. Meaning, our kids would get years of fun, out of a day of work. Good idea in my book! Now, we just need to be patient. And wait for Mike. Our head DIY-er. :)

I Can't Wait!!
Until Savannah is old enough, to play in the sand. I found this picture on Pinterest, and I just fell in love! I'm going to keep my eyes opened, for this little bathing suit. Isn't it adorable? These are the things I dreamt of, when I dreamt of having a daughter. Pink, ruffles, and the girly things!
I also can't wait, until Savannah is old enough, to go to Georgia. And play in the sand. Like I did, when I was little. When my baby girl, is big enough, to explore new things. And enjoy the beautiful state I'm from. :)
Yes, I'm counting down the days. When we can hangout on the beach. Our entire family! And enjoy building sand castles, playing in the water, and soaking up some sun. These are the things, I always dreamt of, when I dreamt about being a momma.

2 vs 1
Lately, I've been stressing a little bit. About going from 1 little boy, to 2. You know, this is a big adjustment. I was almost in a panic by this time during my 1st pregnancy. But we had a ton of support! And I did OK. Mostly because of Mike.
Now, I'm really stressed out. 2 little boys. Am I in over my head? Fine time to think about that. I'm a nut! Mike keeps telling me to just breathe. That it's going to be OK. I know he's right. But I also know it's going to be a little challenging.
For one, we're definitely not going to sleep. That's not new. All new parents lose tons of sleep! My worry is whether or not we are going to have enough time with each of our kids. You know, will Mikey feel neglected? Will we pay enough attention to the baby? I always feel like parents don't take the same amount of pictures of 2nd and 3rd babies. They forget to document all those things that they did with their 1st baby.
I want to be a good mom. But most of all, I want for my kids to feel loved. To feel special. And know that we love them so very much! I just hope I'm ready for everything in our future.

Guess What

We're expecting baby #2! I've hinted about it. I mentioned something here. And tweeted something back in November. But no one really said anything. I think they thought I was joking. Or maybe slightly crazy. Probably more of the later to be honest.
But after Mikey was born, I was told that it was going to be tough to get pregnant again. For lots of reasons I don't want to bore you with. But soon after Mike went to fight the wildfires last year, I found out we could start trying for baby #2. Ya, I know. At the time, Mikey was not even a year old. But it was good news for us. Because we want to have our kids close together. We want them to grow up together.
I didn't think I would get pregnant so quickly though. ;) By the time Mike got back from the wildfires out west, I was off of my birth control. And we honestly thought it might take a few months. No way! I was pregnant right away. We should have remembered how quickly I got pregnant with Mikey. ;)
Yup, that's our news! I'm actually 12 weeks today. Pretty cool if you ask me! Mike insists that we're having a girl. I don't know where that is coming from. But I would be happy with either a boy or a girl. As long as our baby is healthy.
